January is now officially over and February is practically over! Where did the time go? And it’s about the time that your enthusiasm for your 2018 New Years Resolutions (can we even call them New Year Resolutions anymore?) starts to wane. I learned a long time ago that have New Years Resolutions never really work for me. I build up this grand idea in my head and when no progress is made (due to sheer lack of effort), I usually pack it in.
A couple of years ago I stumble across the Day Zero challenge and to my surprise it really kick started my determination to get things done. I’ve been crossing things off my list and enjoying every step of the way!
But with six months left I’ve decided to end the challenge early …in a matter of speaking.
2017 was a roller coaster of a year for me. I built a house and moved out of my parents, I lost family members, I changed jobs and many more things both good and bad happened. I’ve also grown as a person and so a good chunk of the goals I had listed no longer matched up with my priorities.
I’ve now made a new list! My new goals are far more in line with what what I want to achieve and who I’ve grown into. So much so that my ‘101 in 1001’ list is now ‘65 in 1001‘. I’ve only listed 65 because I wanted to avoid filler goals and just have ones that I’m really interested in. There’s no point listing things to try to meet a number. Even if 101 in 1001 sounds better than 65 in 1001! And who knows? Maybe I’ll add more later.
What are some of your goals? Do you have a 101 in 1001 List?
