First Impressions! Urban Decay Afterglow Palette Review

Urban Decay Afterglow Palette Review

I first saw the Afterglow Palette a couple of months ago when my friend (knowing that I’m an absolute sucker for anything from Urban Decay) sent me a picture of her swatching it and I fell instantly in love. At $55 from Mecca this highlighter is a little on the expensive side but it was time for a little splurge, so I finally got my hands on it last week and it’s everything I hoped it was!

There are four shades:

– Bliss (Golden Beige)

– Peroxide (Bubblegum Pink)

– NSFW (Warm Coral)

– Sidepiece (Shimmering Gold)

I found these highlighters easy to apply, with the formula being soft and easy to blend. Now, these are supposed to have the same formula as the ‘Afterglow 8 Hour Powder Highlighter’ and so they are supposed to be quite long-lasting but this wasn’t really my experience. Then again I do have quite oily skin, I’m still trying to find a good primer/setting spray combination to combat this, so if you have any recommendations…

My current favorite is the shade Peroxide, it works so well with my everyday routine! It’s the perfect pop of pink on my cheeks. I think I’ll be using Sidepiece piece the least but only because it’s a similar shade to another well-loved highlighter in my collection (Jeffery Stars Skin Frost in King Tut if you’re interested!).

The After Glow Palette definitely has my stamp of approval!

Have you used the After Glow Palette before? What do you think?
